A trip to Bukit Timah: Unique Places and Great Food

Every trip is such a unique experience, a whole new and different story, and of course a great memory. I cannot compare a single of my journeys, even if it’s the same place. Some of them can be very enjoyable, others might be touching, and some full of adrenalin, in the end, you never know what is waiting for you. But, one thing is for sure – you will have a memory for the rest of your life.

“What I enjoy most is traveling to different places and meeting new people. For me, it’s all about life experiences, and I’m very grateful that acting allows me so many interesting and fulfilling ones.”

– Jensen Ackles

I just enjoy learning about different cultures, their lifestyle, cuisine, people, their perceptions, and of course occasionally sipping the best coffee that I can find there.

I have met some really amazing people that now have a special place in my heart, but also found my little ideal spots to relax and think about the day that went by.

As I already said, I’m a true coffee lover, but I must admit that I equally love to eat good food. So, I always try to explore the place that I’m traveling, even doing a good research where to eat and what to eat. I love trying new 4stuff, but I also prefer a Western Cuisine. So, I had to to a reserch on best Bukit Timah western food, also.

Short Guide to Bukit Timah

My latest trip was to Bukit Timah – Singapore’s highest natural point. It will amaze you with the beauty of wildlife and landscape. There is so much that you can do: learn about flora and fauna, enjoy the fresh air, explore or even have a full workout by walking around or even biking.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is a great place for kids and the whole family, really.

“Cooking is all about people. Food is maybe the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. No matter what culture, everywhere around the world, people get together to eat. “

-Guy Fieri

The Singapore Botanic Gardens are something you need to visit. They are one of the most famous spots among the visitors of this estate. It’s one of the three gardens listed as a UNESCO World Heritage and with over 10,000 different species of plants, it’s no wonder that’s so famous.

Honestly, I could write chapters and chapters about this place and everything that amazed me there. In the end, it’s something that you should see by yourself to fully view all the hidden gems of this estate.

What about Food?

When it comes to food, you can try some of the modern Asian and Western meals such as seafood, steaks, pasta or you can try some of the local favorites. And one thing you should keep in mind – just because it’s not in Europe, it doesn’t mean it isn’t amazingly prepared and delicious, believe me. I had the best steak of my life in Bukit Timah.

If you love exploring unusual flavors and trying something different, that’s excellent, but there are moments when you just want a regular sandwich or a proper cup of tea or coffee. And that’s what I like about the Bukit Timah. You have different options and the best thing of all – the prices are really for everyone’s pocket. If you ask me where you can find best Bukit Timah western food, well everywhere honestly. Experiment and find the one that will satisfy your requirements. And in the end, travel and enjoy the life fully.
